Ecclesiastes 2:24-26---The alternative to neurotic commitment to work is the enjoyment of life as God's good gift. This includes enjoying our work, while not allowing it to become the key to meaning in our life. This is the first of the Lord's admonition to take life less seriously and enjoy it more. Life is too short to waste on the treadmill of ever increasing professional accomplishments. In the larger scheme of things, our accomplishments will not last.
